Because the better gaming console is usually the one with the best games, it depends on what games you like.
For most people right now, the 360 is better. The two are about equal hardware-wise -- the 360 has a better graphics architecture; the PS3 has about 10 times the processing power. The 360 has more games.
It might not stay this way, though. It will depend on what games you like and what system(s) they are released on.

Support America's economy...XBox 360!!!!! :) Actually, the 360 has more games now, but the PS3 is more powerful, plus they have the Blu-Ray thingy, which is pretty pathetic because their developers are still trying to figure out the Java code for the Blu-Ray.

Its all about personal preference. Most people think the XBox 360. My kids have both. My youngest and his friends seem to prefer the PS3, while my oldest and his friends like the XBox 360. I don't have preference.

xbox 360 its got way better games and the ps3 is way too overpriced!

ps3...aside from being an excellent game console, it actually has a blue ray....so u can watch clear movies...if you buy a player with blue ray, it'll cost you thousands...
