In case this is a legitimate question, I'll give a legitimate answer.

You listen to the sound of the chanter against the drone sound. To start with....you tune the inside tenor drone to low A on the chanter. Then you tune the outside tenor to the inside tenor, finally the bass to the two tenors. (If they are in tune, you can't distinguish one from the other...if not, there will b a 'beat frequency' ..i.e.. wah, wah, wah...sound between the out of tune drone and the in-tune drones.) Next you play all drones and chanter listening for out of tune conditions. Usually, when the pipes are under the pressure of playing, a reed will change slightly, which changes the tuning, so you retune. Finally...you listen to each note on the chanter against the drones. Low A and High A should match. Then C and E to complete the chord. Harder to hear is the Low G, D, F and High G...that takes some practice. By taping the holes you can flatten the pitch. By moving the reed up and down in the chanter, you can sharpen or flatten...mostly the high hand notes. Anymore and we're going beyound what the non-piper would understand. Temperature change and humidity changes will affect the tuneing. Temps going up sharpen and temps going down flatten. More humidity will flatten. That's why you will see pipers constantly tweaking their tuning.

When listening to a "good" pipe band, the pipe section should sound as if only one pipe is playing. The tuning and playing can be and should be that close!
