Are you obligated to tell them why you don't care to talk to them anymore? Isn't it manipulative and controlling for them to try to make like nothing happened with no apology or discussion of the matter?

They know and you know they betrayed you because they asked if you were mad about it when it happened....but no apology or explanation.

You don't owe them an explanation. They know why already, why bother wasting your breath or time on them?

You don't say what it is--is it really a big deal??? Too big that you can't accept that he made a mistake??? You make mistakes--so why not just talk it over--maybe an apology will come--some people have a hard time doing that so you can make it easy on them by a nice talk and see what happens---why carry it around your whole life??? Life is too stressful as it is--calm down, relax, give them a break...you'll feel better. It will maybe teach them a valuable lesson, too.Smile, be nice and good luck

if a friend stabs me in the back. I will need to have witness so I can go to court for sueing this friend stabbing me in the back.

the judge will reward me how much damage what friend have done to me.

if you don't have any witness, tell this friend "shut the hell up, go away and get a life"

Confront them about their behavior. I am not saying to get physical but they have to be reprimanded because if not then they get away with what they did and you look like a doormat. Without confrontation, they are more likely to screw you over again.
