Honestly? Seal our borders. A constant influx of poor into a country puts a great strain on the benefits meant for the citizens who pay into them. When I'm working in the hospital as a nursing student (in TX) I see so many 1st generation immigrants on Medicare/Medicaid, etc. It's frustrating, especially since I don't have health insurance myself, and don't qualify for these programs because I don't have kids (however, economically I do qualify). I'm a liberal, but I do feel that people who pay into the programs should be the ones benefiting from them.

Universal Health Insurance available to all with a reasonable monthly premium. The reason private health insurance premiums are so high is because they have a small base to spread out the risk ( a few million each). When you have a national base of say 300 million subscribers, the risk base is so much larger and the premiunm would be proportionally smaller.

I'm not talking about free health insurance but one that's much less expensive for the average citizen. The health care providers will still be paid at the same level as they do now so the health care quality and availability should not change.

I think start by making medical doctorates easier to attain financially... it costs 100,000 to become a doctor (education)

then doctors will not be worth 20 times the average pay

pay them less.......

then stop malpractice suits..... what is that crap?

next create non profit hospitals... but still pay employees well...

It's vital for their survival and advancement of themselves in planet of apes.
They can't do it on their own without us when we leave them behind with time in planet of apes.
