Like heaps of reasons:
- Yeah to get cool on really hot days..
- To appear atractivde or somethin (I dont get it either)
- As you've already heard to close pores not just to help set ur makeup in but also too:
- Try and stop any dust particles to enter ur pores!
A preferred option is however to cleanse and then tone, instead of ice cubes. Ice cubes can also make the skin go really dry!

Most of the time, it's just to freshen themselves. especially during summer. Ice cubes can also help temporarily tighten the pores and make your lipstick last longer and smear-proof. Just rub the ice on your lips after applying lipstick.

It closes pores after washing your face. The best way is to use hot water to wash (as hot as you can stand it) and then rinse with ice water (ice cubes included). Closing the pores before applying makeup is also useful in not allowing the makeup into your pores.

you mean after they put on makeup?
It will help set the makeup -- though, what I do is to dampen a cotton ball with cold water and lightly pat my makeup on my face. It seems to set it nicely and lets the makeup look more glowing/natural.
