i love my first name
nobody can pronounce it, but it is Gaelic, since my grandparents immigrated from Ireland here. I love it and it means soo much to me. when i was little i used to tell my parents i was going to change it when i grew up.
i was a stupid poop then i suppose.
i love the name christine, but i reeeeally hate the nickname christy
i dunno why. :(

YES! It was the name of a Character in a Book that My Mother (who was 1st Generation American) picked up from the books she used to TEACH herself English out of.
With an Unusual Name, it was something that others my age could easily change to make fun of me ... but in reality .. the name FITS completely, and the ones who tried to torment me over the name ... well, let's just say that they NEVER did gain one thing from their nastiness .. and yes, I DID succeed (it made me a VERY focused woman, one who DEFINITELY wanted to and DID succeed in life despite the life obstacles that occurred).
I would NEVER want to change my first name at all. I've enjoyed this name for many, many years, and it just FITS with my personality.

not when i was younger...but I've grown to like it/something people could pronounce the 1st time without trying hard or that i could purchase on a key chain or something like that as a kid that part really sucked. i have 5 sisters and 1 bro they all have very simple names

No, I don't really like my first name. I think the name Alex sounds cool though.

I don't really like mine. It's so sort of, I don't know, blond stripper-ish. And that's not really my personality at all. I'm a slightly shy brunette. I would've liked Elsie, after my great-grandmother and because its sounds sweet and old-fashioned.

My name's Taylor and I think it's ok, I'd rather something more unique and pretty like "Sage", I've always thought that was a nice name....

I've grown to like it, was very common, didn't suit me. Apparantly my mother wanted to name me Deanna, but my father wasn't into it. I was named after a celebrity...
