It just makes more sense to me. I think the government has no right telling people what to do with their body and their money!

I always thought the Libertarian platform made much more sense than anything other major party.

And there are many overlaps between the liberal mindset and the Libertarian platform. Just as there are overlaps between the conservative mindset and the Libertarian platform.

That's why intelligent people from both ends of the spectrum are realizing that it's isn't just a linear two-party spectrum, and
that the Libertarians have the right idea.

If it is the case that you believe that Goverment should leave people alone and be limited in size, as well as total freedom is more important than goverment control, than you might very well be a Libertarian. However, I wonder why you would ever be a Liberal at all, as Liberalism is founded upon the Government being the center of everything, as well as control of the individual.
Many conservatives are closer to being Libertarian than Liberals.

I'm Liberal, and in alot of ways I like the Libertarian platform. Unfortunately, they rarely have a chance of winning, so most of the time voting Libertarian is wasting your vote. I try to gauge the popularity of a particular Libertarian on my ballot before going to the voting booth, and if he has a chance and supports my interests, he/she gets my vote. If there is no chance, the Dem. usually gets my vote.

I saw this once and it cracked me up:

Republicans want to be your Daddy, Democrats want to be your Mommy, Vote Libertarian.

Funny, but so true.

I think xialou1 is right. I am against any greed based system, and I think that the best system would help individuals and society as a whole. I just don't like systems that only help some people, and leave out others. *sm*

The question should be"Is it normal for a person to be a Liberal".
The answer, of course, is NO.
No sensible person can be a liberal because;" liberalism" makes no sense.

Is it normal? No. But who wants to be normal if "normal" is being a big government, nanny-state socialist? (Or a big-government, warmongering, peek in the bedroom window conservative?)
