Where would you like to live?

Question

Which three countries would you most like to live in and which three would you least like to live in? Also, please note where you live now.

I live in the United States. I have to say that United States would be my first choice. Second would be Australia. Third, United Kingdom.
I would not want to live in Africa, Iraq, or France.

#1 French Polynesia ...Bora Bora, Tahatti, Cook Islands Etc...
(if I was fortunate enough to afford & maintain a plesant lifestyle on any of the above listed islands...I'd be thrilled too death, as it would mean that I now had, more money than God)

# 2 Western USA California and or The Hawaiian Islands

#3 The United Kingdom ////Scotland, England, Wales etc...


Least Favorite Locations

I live in Missouri out in the boonies on about 5 acres of land and I really like it here.

3 countries I would like to live in would be:
1. Germany because this is where I was born and raised most of my life.
2. Ireland because I have ancestors there.
3. Right here in the good ole US of A because this is where most of my immediate family is.

3 countries I wouldn't want to live in are:
1. Iraq because of all the instability and war.
2. France because I visited there and had a bad experience.
3.Antarctica, well, it's just to darn cold there...lol.

Your question does not have a realistic answer. To realistically decide you would have to spent a considerable time in a place. From what I see from the answers you have so far there is a tendency to like similar cultures. So choosing England over Germany or Italy or what not in Europe is not really choosing much. They are basically the same culture with differences in detail.
I was born in Greece, raised in the US(in California) spent 17 years in the Middle East. Have spent a few years in the USSR (when it was still around). Spent two years in Bungome Kenya. I enjoyed all of them. The key here is not what you think you like. It never turns out to be what you would like it to be. You have to adapt. You have to become a local otherwise your liking or disliking a place is purely in the realm of fantasy.
Most of your answers actually point to "There's no home like home sweet home".

I would love to go to Italy! Ahhhhh! And Puerto Rico. haha. Only short term though. And...Hmmmm...I guess I always think of visiting and living short-term places. Get to know the area and do things that tourists don't get to do, then move on! Sounds like the life for me :) I love it here in California. Though I want to settle closer to the ocean. Say, Monterey/Carmel-ish area. Lovely!
I don't exactly know where I'd least like to live. Don't really think about that much, just where I want to go. Can't judge a book by it's cover and would love to be able to travel to places before settling down.

i live in southern california but i grew up in northern california and i know that i will always be a california girl. BUT i really really really want to move to three places for at least some period of time: boston, any city in china, and the countryside of either france italy or great britain.

I'm in Ogden, Utah, right now. I want to go back to Massachussetts, that would be number one. After that is Ireland, then Tuscany. I want to claim a fourth and say India. Is that ok?

I would never want to live in Mexico, Siberia, or South Africa. Don't ask why...

Brussels, Belgium is my first choice and Tortola is my second and Australia is my Third. I would least like to live anywhere in Russia, Iraq or Korea.
