i have a friend and she has a friend who is a feminist but not a radical feminist. but my friend said that she is more of the traditional type of woman. she likes taking care of her kids at home and she likes being a stay at home wife. and her friend is always cutting her down for complying to the male agenda. and her friend says that she should break free from a male run society and work and be able to do anything a man does.
but my friend feels that she can be independent and trong by just being a stay at home mom. and i dont think she should be ashamed of it. either way if she decides to work or take care of her kids i think she shouldnt have to be a certain way out of spite.
(her friend is known to try and start fist fights with men and when the men say they wont fight her she then gos and says "why are you afraid that a strong woman is standing up against you")
what do you think?

They put them down because the other women don't share the same opinion. This just doesn't go for women either.

Hmm, why do people put each other down? Lots of men (feminist or not) and anti-feminist women put people down. I think it's unfair to judge all feminists by one feminist- why do feminists have to be perfect people? This woman (the friend of a friend) sounds unbalanced, why on earth would anyone want to be associated with her, let alone be friends with her? I would never be friends with someone who was disrespectful about the way I was living my life, whether I was staying at home or working outside the home or a mixture of both. Your friend needs to choose better friends...

I somewhat have seen some feminists who think of "stay at domicile mothers are killing feminism" .Yeah stunning, thank you to pass. They hate female women persons. They hate chivarly as properly. human beings say feminism is all approximately alternatives yet there's no know for stay at residences in feminists international. a number of them even seem down on women persons who marry or do companion and young infants chores. They even handle men badly ,calling us abusers, pedophilies, rapists etc. Writting books like SCUM(society to diminish of fellows) manifesto that are tremendously primary between mainstream feminists. unique feminists carried out some good issues yet in the present day's that's a hate team.

There are always going to be nut cases out there. Its just unfortunate that she is a feminist because she's giving all feminists a bad name. Sounds like she makes herself feel better than others by putting them down. Tell your friend to ignore her. Your friend is right she can be independent and strong while being a stay at home wife.
Feminism is about equality. just because she stays at home doesnt mean that shes not a strong woman.
And to the guy who said feminists are hypocritical and delusional....get a life man. just because you dont understand it doesnt mean theyre wrong.
Maybe thats why this woman is so abrasive. She doesnt undrstand why someone would want to be a stay at home mom, so she attacks it.

I think that particular "feminist" represents one woman's opinion...her own. I actually think she sounds a little "off" (starting random fist fights? VERY strange!) Feminists are individuals, just like any other "group" of people. I happen to think that a women (or man!) who stays home to raise his/her children is doing the most important job there is, and should be commended for it. But that's just my opinion. Every feminist will have a different opinion on it (to one degree or another).

I think the feminist your friend is friends with sounds like a real moron, one day she will get punched and then cry to the police about it. Your friend should just tell her to shut her yapper, and that if she was so happy with her life, she would not feel the need to cut down others in order to lift herself up.

Those women are the reason I am not a feminist. Most of them are mean and for their own agendas only. Kindness and compassion seem lost on them. As well the definition of what it means to be a woman.

Maybe because they are secretly jealous of all the stay at home wives/mothers who stick to traditional roles in society. I'm a stay at home wife and in 9 months stay at home mother and accept my traditional role in society. Good for your friend for doing what she wants.

I think that feminists believe that they speak for every woman...and they don't like dissenters. I've heard of anti-feminist women who get accused by feminists of dragging women down.

Feminists are just people, like all of us are.
The fact that she puts other people down, starts fights, and criticizes her "friends" says to me that she's no kind of friend to have.
Dear boy, sigh....
Good luck
