In MLB, It was Denny McLain, with the Detroit Tigers, who won 31 in 1968, the only "modern era" player to win 30 in a season
The last National League player to do it was Dizzy Dean, who won 30 for St. Louis in the 1934.

Dizzy Dean won 30 games for the 1934 World Series champions St. Louis Cardinals and his brother Daffy won 19.
