I hate Norton with a passion, the company Symantec should be buried for their corrupt business practices, for various reasons including the fact that their software is bloated, somewhat innefective, and overpriced.

I use PCSecurity shield and found it to be a very good anti virus and firewall.Instead of running out and buying a anti virus program why don't you try a few out first, some of the free programs out there today are as good as the ones you buy. Most anti virus programs have free trials so give a few a test spin and see which one works best with your computer.I would also think security suite not just ant virus that would include a firewall and spy ware protector.

I have been using Norton Anti-virus Corporate client at my home pc. And it did not affect the performance of my pc. It is much better then the normal Norton Antivirus, or Semantic System Works.

Voted the best AV program 2006 - Nod32, there is nothing out there like it, It is very fast, takes up little hard drive space & does not slow your computer down.
Try it free for 30 days & your see what I mean.
I did & I've never look back.

Every Anti Virus always make performance system down.
Norton is the best, but i have trick for you to speed up the computer.
