Okay for 1, buying a mac is not a good answer and i can give many good reasons for this besides the price tag. And second, using system restore will not fix an viral problems you had since most viruses will infect yout system restore files and are running as soon as the OS has booted up. Your best bet is to try un-installing yout current antivirus software, and install a trial of another to remove the virus. Their are also some online scanners that are not easily affected. I can't remember the exact url to these but you should not have much trouble googling for them.

Hi,
The Virus is in now in your whole system as a result of which Mcafee is not going to work now, just downlaod Avast security programme from www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html
and set up a start up scan and next time when u will restart your PC it will run a scan before windows open and will delete all the virus giving your PC a fast speed.
Hpoe I helped U?

If you are able to access the internet, do an online virus scan from TrendMicro at http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ or from BitDefender at http://www.bitdefender.com/scan8/ie.html or eTrust from http://www3.ca.com/securityadvisor/virusinfo/scan.aspx. All three are good AV programs and should get your system up and running. You should also do a spyware scan with Ad-Aware from http://www.lavasoftusa.com/. Before doing the system clean up you should disable System Restore and after your system is clean delete all your old restore points and then restart your System Restore.

Good luck.

System Restore to a date before you got the virus. If not, totally redo it. Buy a Mac and you will never feel sad again.
