President Bush is currently visiting several Central and South American countries. At almost every country he visits there are massive demonstrations, some turning violent, like in Brazil. Some protests went as far as burning US flags that were emblazoned with swastikas.

My question is what precisely are they demonstrating against? I have not been able to find any particular message that they want to convey here. Most of their signs say something along the lines of “Bush go home.” Also, why is there so much resentment of the USA in Latin America? I understand the US has manipulated some Latin American governments in the past with the CIA, but I don’t know to what extent. Is this a part of, or all of the anger seen in the last few days?

I think I’m missing what’s really driving their anger here, so I hope someone can help me fill in the blanks. Serious responses ONLY please. If you’re going to say something like “Bu$h wantz all teh oils!!1111” then don’t bother answering.

Good Q. Let me take a look and see what I can dig up.

I will be honest, I am too tired to do this but I will offer one idea.

It is well known that the Bush family and the CIA and various others were heavily involved in the war on drugs. It was not as we have been told, to eradicate the drugs, although we saw much action. They also brought the drugs into America for various very clandestine and destructive purposes.

I am thinking that involvement with drugs in South America is at least part of the equation. I am also betting there is Chavez eager to replace Castro as leader of the Spanish speaking world against American.

What I DO know is that NOTHING we see, we the people of all countries, is what really is going on. NOTHING is as it appears to be. What we see is a show for mass consumption.

"The world is governed by personalities very different to what people that cannot see further than their eyes, believe" - Benjamin Disraeli -

"... in politics nothing is accidental. If something happens, be assured it was planned this way"- Franklin D. Roosevelt - (32 Degree Freemason)

"Fictions are necessary to the people, and the Truth becomes deadly to those who are not strong enough to contemplate it in all its brilliance. In fact, what can there be in common between the vile multitude and sublime wisdom? The truth must be kept secret, and the masses need a teaching proportioned to their imperfect reason." - Illustrious Albert Pike 33° Sovereign Grand Commander

"The world is governed by very different personages from what is imagined by those who are not behind the scenes."
Benjamin Disraeli, first Prime Minister of England, in a novel he published in 1844 called Coningsby, the New Generation

"The governments of the present day have to deal not merely with othergovernments, with emperors, kings and ministers, but also with the secret societies which have everywhere their unscrupulous agents, and can at the last moment upset all the governments' plans. " British Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli, 1876

I send these quotes to get across the point that we really do not know what is really going on.

For all we know Chavez' speech about the stink of Satan a few months ago was just another act! BTW I did read somewhere that Bush included parts of South American on an agenda for future military action. However, things are out of hand in the Mid East so I suppose those plans have been put to rest for a little while.

Whoever controls the media controls the mind of a nation. No one knows the real spin here. Remember, these people are as manipulated as every other people are by their nations' media.

Killer bank loans have destroyed economies, coporate exploitation, as in United Fruit Co., and political assassinations have poisoned relations with Central and South America for generations. Dubbya is the pin up doll for all these offenses, and Chavez has called him on it. This is a long story with many horrible chapters, and the current exploitation of cheap labor from Mexico and the war in Iraq only add fuel to the fire.

From what I've been able to gather, it has something to do - seriously - with Catholics in particular, believing Bush is the Anti-Christ. I kid you not. His reputation has spread across the face of the world and many people in other countries are simply afraid of him - and not in a healthy way.

Then there's the Mayan priests, who said they would purify the site after he finished visiting:

Guatemala City: Mayan priests will purify a sacred archaeological site to eliminate "bad spirits" after President Bush visits next week, an official with close ties to the group said Thursday.

"That a person like (Bush), with the persecution of our migrant brothers in the United States, with the wars he has provoked, is going to walk in our sacred lands, is an offense for the Mayan people and their culture," Juan Tiney, the director of a Mayan nongovernmental organisation with close ties to Mayan religious and political leaders, said on Thursday.

Being American we are a bit encapsulated to the strong anger against America simply because it exists and proves the failure of socialism/communism. I know a young lady who recently went to her parents home country in South America, where they celebrate July 4th as one in which to express hatred for America. They have very strong pro-communist leanings as they have been thoroughly indoctrinated into thinking their every ill is because of America. But logic tells us that people elevate themselves, while government often fosters the belief in complete hopelessness for it's own benefit. This is why conservatives believe in empowerment of the poor, which means elevating them, while Liberals believe in punishing the successful, while keeping the lower classes low for their own empowerment. No society has ever been successful in this plan. Yet class hatred, a Marxist tenet, flourishes in much of the world. It is easy to covet your neighbors goods.

They blame that poverty was created by the US.
When the misery of living human kind was created by their own dirty old men in office in their own backyards in planet of apes.
What those living human kind out there were self exposing the misery being created in their own backyards.
While the dirty old men in office point fingers at others in making a monkey out of themselves in planet of apes.
It would be wise for them to trace the blunders and slip-ups with human errors to trace the faults instead of blaming it on others when others have their own problems to solve back home getting kick on the butts too in planet of apes.
