I am a highly empathetic person and I always am drawn to huirting people who I immediately try to help. I would not think of kicking someone who is already hurting and do not understand people who do this at all. It just astounds me.
I have always had a soft spot for underdogs and people suffering from pain, rejection, and problems perhaps because my own life has been a life with far more pain than pleasure.
I was born highly sensitive which is both a blessing and a curse. I am one who takes on the pains of the world and even feels for people I don't know. I once went to a support group for depression and left so much the worse as I took on the osrrows of so many of the people there and worried about them even though they were strangers to me.
I had considered volunterring lately. I had four people at sucide prevention think I would be good as I wound up counseling or empathesing with them and I had such a good heart and I had long thought this but recentby in talking to a suicide prevention volunteer about does she worry about people who call when they don't call back, in speakig wioth her I realized that I am not the type who caan not take on the burdens of others and though I would be very good for the people calling who are upset I feel, I would make my own depression worse. I now think a more upbeat volunteer job or working with kids maybe would be a better choice for me.
I am starting to feel that people are really mean the more I go on forums..so much meaner than I realized before. I am starting to feel happy I live alone and don't have that much contact with people.
Funny for years I thought this was bad but now realiziing how people are I am starting to feel lucky that life has me as a loner. This is an interesting change for me. What once seemed bad now seems good.

of course you kick them they are closer to your feet then your fist....lol just playing, i normally try to help them up, but if they are constantly knocking themselves down you can only offer a helping hand so many times before it becomes pointless

i dont think i could do that.
kick people when they're down
i've been doing all i can recently to just think how i would feel if i were in their shoes.
and i've got to say that would totally bite if i was getting my hiney kicked by me when i was already down.
sometimes i help them back up...i try to as much as i can.
sometimes its reeeally reeeally hard thoooo!!!

never, that's just cruel. I try to treat people the way I would want to be treated, therefore, I try to help them back up.

Actually, I lay with them a while and then try to help them up when they're ready. It's nice, sometimes, to just relax...
