What is an ideal gift for my mother – a ring, pendant, necklace, bracelet, earring or something else? She is fascinated with diamonds and I want to give her something she can show off.

According to me an ideal gift for your mother should be very unique which reminds her of the love and eternal relationship shared by you with your mother something like a diamond studded set of earrings and pendant.

Buy her a Mother's Ring. It would have the birthstones of all her children in it. or if you are the only child, then it would have your birthstone with diamonds and maybe her birthstone.
It will be precious to her and it will have a whole lot of meaning for her and I have no doubt she would show it off to everyone.

a ring is "typically" something given from a lover/spouce. You could give her a nice necklace, maybe a locket with a picture of you? Mothers always love that :)

maybe you should give her something that shows her how good a mother she is and something that is unique to her and something that she will cherish for a long long time, so you should buy something that can last a life time. No one knows what your mother truly likes but you, so you have to buy her some thing that you think is special. buy her something that she dosent have, and obviously the best gift is to be good to her, because she is your mother. =)

I'd probably get a pendant if I were shopping for my mom. It highly depends on what kind of accesories your mom likes and wears most of the time.

this is the same question revolving in my mind as my moms birthday is approaching. well, mother is one such divine creation of god who likes eyerything in there children.I would prefer a diamond ring. Hope she likes it.

A bracelet would be nice especially if you would put different designs on it that would remind her of you, bracelets are typical for them that's my opinion ^^,
