Yes. It takes a little doing, but if you keep the compliments active in the front of your mind, the insults go to the back and aren't as easily noticed.

Yes. Most of the time at least. Insults from people who don't know me don't matter to me so they are almost immediately forgotten. Insults from family or friends sting and the pain tends to linger a bit. I remember compliments from everyone.

Most times I find it much easier to remember insults and forget compliments. I wish it was the other way around...

by the same person???o gee..erh....well, i don't act on the insults, but i remember them. and i keep them in my mind. far in the back, but close enough for me to remember them the next time that person tries to become my best buddy. and I remember those insults when i hear the compliments from the same person..and i guess i take them both with a grain of salt.

With time and the proper perspective, the insults will have less sting. You also have to remember the source of the insults.

I disregard both as they are what OTHERS think about me. As long as I'm happy with me then I could give 2 poots what the peanut gallery thinks.
