They should split and run in all different directions. We'll hate the next generation of lawmakers less. (at first)

I'm not sure we should do very much. The President and Congress were elected to serve our interests, not the citizens of other countries.

Of course we should have treaties to handle things like extradition, contracts, intellectual property rights, etc., but I don't think it is the government's responsiblity to campaign for other countries to like us.
