Double check those wires on the starter, make sure their tight, if this doesn't help the biggest problems for a starter that doesn't work is a bad solenoid. You may try tapping on the solenoid and try to start it again, I have got this to work, but its a temp fix.

Check your cable connections first. If your battery posts are corroded, your lights may work but you cannot generate enough energy to make it to the starter. Posts should be clean and tight, so remove both cables and clean the screw ends and the fitting on the battery itself. If you have visible corrosion, it can be cleaned by pouring baking soda on the terminals and then drop some wather to moisten them. The corrosion will bubble for a while and then you can was them clean with fresh water. Use a wire brush on the cable leads and terminals to make sure the contact points are clean and shiny before re-attaching the cables.

Now do the same at the solenoid and starter. All connections must be clean and tight! If this fails, you may have a defective starter solenoid.

Using an insolated handled screwdriver and crossing the positive and negitive terminals of the solenoid can test this. Be very cautious when doing this as you will likely draw a large when touching the two terminals together, so make sure that there is no open fuel cans or leaking fuel (or other volatile materials) in the area. If the starter engages, you should change the solenoid.

Again, be very careful when working on your own vehicle. You should always have someone with you and make sure that your car is NOT in gear when troubleshooting a starter. Also keep hands and other body parts as well as tools, rags, cords, etc. away from the cooling fan and other moving engine parts.

Hope this helps.

What i'd do first is verify your battery cables, the cables on your starter, etc. make beneficial they're all tight. in case you are able to twist them or flow them they're too loose. additionally verify for corrosion, severe boost would reason the electrical powered energy to not be waiting to habit nicely sufficient to show the starter. additionally purely a factor be conscious, once you stick the biggest in and you will't turn it, attempt shifting your steerage wheel to and fro once you're putting purely particularly of tension on it, they have locks on them, and if there's a tension on the steerage wheel you is easily not waiting to show the biggest, and this will become further and further simple each and every twelve months a motor vehicle gets older. If all your cables are tight and clean, and your battery is charged however the subject persists the best component of do would purely be to take it to somebody else to look at. wish this permits- Peyton

CHECK TO SEE IF THE SECURITY LIGHT GOES OUT WHEN YOU TURN THE KEY TO THE ON POSITION, IF NOT ...OR IF IT FLASHES...LEAVE THE KEY ON FOR 10 MINUTES, THE LIGHT SHOULD GO OUT...TURN THE KEY OFF AND TRY TO START..THE ONLY OTHER THING I CAN THINK OF IS CLEAN BATTERY CABLES OR NEUTRAL SAFETY SWITCH
