The UN is a joke and yes we oughta throw em out of the country and make em all pay their unpaid parking tickets in New York,City........I think they ought to move to France and we should just take care of things on our own hell we do anyways........one of the very few times i agree with congress

I do think that the UN should be funded from more diverse sources in larger amounts, because the US can pretty much take its ball and go home and the game would be over tomorrow.
Further, I would say the UN ultimately is a good thing, even in its current state of disarray. It gives countries a place to come together and discuss the happenings of the world. In my opinion, dialogue is the ultimate deterrant of hostilities.

I think the UN has done great things in the past but lately seems to be lacking. The situation in Darfur has gotten way out of hand and the UN has been making excuses the entire time.
I think the US should pull some funding but not all.

The United Nations is becoming as ineffectual as the League of Nations that preceded it. It does serve as a place that nations can air their differences but the resolutions are usually so watered down they become meaningless. As for funding cuts, the United States should only pay an equivalent amount as any other nation. Then and only then will the world realize how much waste and corruption actually occurs there.

The U.N. is a failed organization! There is no way to enforce any actions taken by the U.N. except with American military! The process for countries to mediate their problems is long and often unsuccessful! Another issue to consider... countries are not forced into participation making the U.N. completely voluntary... do the bad guys want to be a part of an organization that will harm their country?

the UN gives a fourm to bash the US. I would pull out of it. There are other means for the terroist to be allowed in our country with out their illegal parking in NYC
