Try reducing the bad carbs out of your diet...white flour and white sugar is the worst culprit for adding weight around our middle and hips.

Walking is an amazing workout if you get out everyday and try to get up a good speed. Step into your step (don't let your feet fall into the step as in plodding along) and push off with the other foot into the next step...tight your abs and butt muscles while walking...at least walk 25 minutes and try to get up to an hour if you can. You will be amazed what that will do.

These are easy and you don't have to change your lifestyle too much. This has always been the bane of my existence: I gain weight around the belly and butt...but I keep it off by doing these two things...

Cycling would help you. Brisk walking early in the morning, followed by light jogging would definately do wonders.
