I'm a muslem and i can tell the what we are supposed to do with gays if they were caught doing it ;
we must throw them from a high mountain till die .
But these days no one follows the religion as we are supposed to do so we see gays around us and don't do anything .
So don't be afraid of people but be afraid of god .

From what I gather about the Muslim world, you might be short lived. I know for a fact that it's possible to be a Christian and Gay. But the Muslims say that Shirah Law is best-- any country adopting those Laws is supposed to have it right in Allah's eyes. Nevermind putting Christians and Gays to death just for being what they are.

There is a whole lot more about that that I could write on, but I think that I answered your question.

In Islam it is a sin to be gay, but of course there are loads of gay muslims.

The Koran warns and condemns gays "2aom Loo6" or "Lut's people":

Chapter 11: The Holy Prophet
Chapter 29: The Spider
Chapter 26: The Poets
Chapter 15: The Rock
Chapter 21: The Prophets
Chapter 27: The Ant
Chapter 54: The Moon
Chapter 6: The Cattle
Chapter 7: The Elevated Places
Chapter 22: The Pilgrimage
Chapter 37: The Rangers
Chapter 38: Suad
Chapter 50: Qaf
Chapter 66: The Prohibition

In chapter 7, the Elevated Places:7.80: And (We sent) Lut when he said to his people: What! do you commit an indecency which any one in the world has not done before you?

7.81: Most surely you come to males in lust besides females; nay you are an extravagant people.

7.82: And the answer of his people was no other than that they said: Turn them out of your town, surely they are a people who seek to purify (themselves).

7.83: So We delivered him and his followers, except his wife; she was of those who remained behind.

7.84: And We rained upon them a rain; consider then what was the end of the guilty.

In my personal opinion the traditions and dogma attribute to the matter. Not the contrary. Freedom is given to the same sex, and restrictions are placed between the opposite sexes.

:)

Islam teaches that gay acts are sinful and punishable by technique of God. This practise comes no longer from human beings, yet from the author of all human beings. God tells us in His own words how He punished the individuals of Lot for his or her gay habit. the tale of the prophet Lot, on whom be peace, unearths aspect out in diverse Qur'anic passages (see fantastically Qur'an 26:100 and sixty-100 seventy 5). From those passages we study that God kept Lot and the righteous ones of his family members, and rained at something a bath of brimstones, so as that they were fully destroyed. that is reported contained in the Qur'an no longer only for the sake of recommendations, yet specially to operate a caution to absolutely everyone who dares to repeat such acts.

It's more than possible. Given a large enough Muslim population, it's inevitable.

Whether they stay in the closet all their life, or change religion, or whatever- I suspect their life is not easy.

That's like asking if it is possible to be left handed and Scottish. It's nonsense. Religion is a choice, sexual identity is not. And why the heck would you want to join such a repressive, destructive, hateful, and salvation-less religion like Islam that was invented by a violent, adulterous, lunatic pedophile a thousand years ago to crush everyone who will not bow to their moon god?

you can be a gay Muslim, just stay in the closet because there will be an honor killing and you will be the guest of honor if you come out.
