To get into CMOS you press either DEL, F2, F8, or F10. When the computer is first booting up, it will say "Press XXX to enter setup" that is the key you need to press. If when entering into setup it asks you for a password, then your former administrator entered a CMOS password and you need to clear that out. To clear the CMOS password open the side of your computer and, with the system off and unplugged, remove the battery from the motherboard for 5 seconds then put it back. That will clear out the CMOS password.

CTRL-ALT-DEL will get you a login prompt in Windows.

To enter the CMOS or BIOS setup, you usually press DEL, F1 or F10 or maybe some other key when computer is just starting to boot, before it starts loading Windows.

Then you can go in there and change the start or boot order if you want it to try to boot from the CD first.
