Alot of reviews are mentioning things that were not even included in the film. As if they saw an entirely different movie than everyone else did. For example, the tree the Spartans find in the ambushed village with the bodies attached. Many folks were upset over "exposed genitals and nipples". No one could possibly see that due to the distance from the camera.
The sex scene between the king and queen also upset people. You don't see hardly anything as it is in a slideshow format, much less any porn-esque graphic detail that it is alleged to have. The female nipple shots are blink and miss them. Most PG13 films have much more graphic sex and nudity than this film contains.
Even the blood and gore is very minimal compared to films set in modern times, given the amount of violence. It's comic book violence, nothing more. What I find funny is that when Gladiator came out, no one made any fuss over the violence and gore in that one compared to this, and it was much worse

I just watched it today with my brother and it was fantastic!!! i dodnt think there was too much sex and nudity!!! people need to realize its 2007!!! not the 1940's!!! i truely enjoyed watching the pride and honor aspects of this movie! not the small amount of womens breast or a male butt!!!

the only real complaint i have heard about 300 are some Persians complaining that there were no Africans in the Persian army (three were and there is historical evidence to prove it).
other than that never real heard complaints about the sex besides one reviewer comparing it to sex you see on cinemax.
as for violence, anyone who went in to this movie not expecting to see a ton of violence needs to have their heads examined.
Personally i loved the movie, even if it is not historically accurate.
