Can I save save contents from my digicamcorder to my notebook using a TV tuner card?

I have a toshiba laptop and the tv tuner is an OEM external TV tuner.

Your card has an antenna in socket, right. So it should work the same as a normal VCR. Just tune the TV card to the signal that is coming in from your vcr/camcorder. If it has an AV setting even better. Some cards has RCA (yellow and white) sockets that can also be used for signal and sound. If your camcorder has usb or firewire, then you might even be able to use this options. I know it is a lot of info but try it. It helped me.

You can save to your note book, but it depends on the model of Digi Camcorder. There will separate card(USB Supproted) to connect to Notebook or Desktop PC. There is no need for TV tuner card as such. Check the USer Manual for the details. Let me know, your digital camcorder model, I can tell you.

If you a latest digicamo\corder then no problem , you can save the contents directly on the notebook via USB cable.

If your digicamo\corder is old, you can only view the content on notebook via tuner card , but can not save it.
