That's because it's not spelled correctly. Her name was Pier Angeli. My Uncle Matt knew her.

I very briefly met her and saw her very briefly before she died and she was very beautiful even then. I met her when I was a teenager and she was a very nice person to me and had the most beautiful eyes, they were almost hypnotic.

Since then I have seen her movies and realized her beauty when she was younger and she was just a beautiful before she died. She knew how to dress and act so as to be elegant and just the way she held herself was very feminine in the clothes she wore and theway she acted a way you no longer see anymore. She was not demure and knew her own mind. I can't put it better than that.

I went with my father to a restaurant and he briefly knew her and stopped by to say hello. She asked us to join her at first my father said no he didn't want to disturb her but she asked again so nicely that no one could resist. She and my father had met a few days before when he was sent to be a consultant on a peice of machinery being used in a movie. He kept saying I spoke to Pier Angelie!!

Even though I was in my mid teens she included me in the conversation and asked me all kinds of things and she was genuinely interested. I remember eveyone in the restaurant staring at us and she took no notice.

She died a few months later and some said it was suicide. Others have doubted it. She seemed like an angel, just like her name and I found out later she loved James Dean and during the lunch I also remember she spoke about her sons very lovingly.

I think the story that she was worn down and the Doctor's had given her something to pep her up are true. During the late sixties early seventies it was still possible for Doctors to prescribe "speed" sorry I don't know the medical term and she had a negative reaction to the drug as it could adversely affect the heart and raise blood pressure.

The below site is my favorite because of the way she sits on the stool, she is fashionably dressed and has a femine quality that you just don't see anymore.
