Tatianna, Clarabelle, Elizabeth, Caroline, Patricai, Patrice, Annette, Rhona, Thereas, Bonnie, and Anita have been around a long time. Reese , Lindsey, Jennifer, Nina, Anelle , Anlaina, Nicole, and Jesslyn are all more recent sounding. Liam is old, but sounds new, because it's unusual. Caleb is Biblical. Donovon and Patrick will always be popular Irish names.I really like Liam and Alaina.

the first thing i picture when i hear the name...

....tatiana-this little bratty girl that i knew. Eh!
...Marcus-my cousin. I like that name
...Harlan-a prostitute (harlotte), i don't like it.
...Zane-I just don't like that.
...Clarabelle-that does sound a little old fashoined, but classy, nevertheless.
...Liam-Isn't that the name of an actor? Anyway, the names' okay.
Reese-the name of another cousin, also, Reese Witherspoon, one of my favorite actors. I give it a thumbs up.
...Elizabeth-Not so much old, as classy. I really like that name. It has very strong meaning also. I like
...Caroline-North Carolina, that's where i live. I am not so sure i like it as a name though.
...Patricia-I like it
...Patrice-a lot like patricia, i like it too
...Annette-It just doesn't seem to come out right. I don't really like it.
...Lindsey-all the lindsey's that i've ever known never really liked me. So that name has gone on my "bad" list.
...Rhonda-It's okay
...Theresa-It's okay too. Not "old" not "new", just okay
...Jennifer-Too common for my taste. I guess you could call it "new"
...Bonnie-That sounds a little like a nickname to me, like it's supposed to be short for something. Don't like
...Nina-I'm not a big fan of that name.
...Caleb-I've always loved that name.
...Donovon-ok
...Patrick-Too irish-NO
...Anelle-Not a big fan
...Alaina- I like that. I hadn't heard of it until a few years ago, but i do like it.
...Nicole-It's okay, but still again, all too common.
...Jesslyn-Never heard of this name before. If i'm saying it right now, i don't like it.
...Anita- Makes me think of the dog breed-Akita. Not feeling it too hot.

I don't think that names have an age limit. I do, however, feel that some names are used more often during certain time periods than others. But when you are looking for "old'" and "new" ,then you might loose class, which is another factor of names. like the name Victoria, it's a strong name, but some might call it "old" because it was used more often a long, long time ago, while, yet and still, it was used to name queens. Which is what keeps that name popular. In my personal opinion though, the more unique a name, the better it is.

Some are fairly new but most of them are older names.
Don't discount the older ones. They stand the test of time and are names to be proud of.

Actually a study was done on the subject of children's names.
Interestingly, the kids with the older names did better in school and were more likely to be hired after graduating from high school or college.

They found that people find tried and true names make people feel more at ease with the person and actually perceive them as being smarter than those with exotic names.

I saw this on PBS. It was interesting. People like names that they are familiar with and know how to spell without asking.

Go with your heart and don't worry about the name being old or new.
Pick a name YOU like. Ahd one you think your child can live with. Then everyone's happy.

Trust your heart and common sense.
All the names you listed are excellent names.

I LOVE the name, Anelle. I've never heard it before but it's beautiful and simple at the same time. I like that.

Some of these names are pretty common. As for me I like the name Annette because that's my middle name. If I were to be pregnant right now and i knew I was having a baby girl i would name her Janessa. I believe that my children should be unique and have unique names.I know that the common names are really nice and all but they're to common and that's why i would choose a name that's is not that common and that would get me to say now my children are unique.

Tatianna- an old but beautiful name. I picture one of my best friends, Tatjana. she is really a great girl, very pretty too and has a lot of style.
Marcus- an old name. and I picture a character from Harry Potter
Harlan- Harlan Coben. a great writer, I love his books. this is a very nice name
Zane- I picture a cool guy. definately a new name and a nice one
Clarabelle- very traditional, and a combination of two names (nut it means "clearly beautiful" in Latin). i can see a lady in a long dress
Liam- it's an old name, but of my absolute favourites! and I see a singer in one of my favourite bands
Reese- Witherspoon. but she is very cute. i don't like the name much, though
Elizabeth- oldie but goldie. a beautiful and powerful name. What I picture is one of my mother's friends, a very strong lady
Caroline- another old name (means "darling"). don't really like it, too long and fleshy. and I can see a girl I didn't like much in school
Patricia- there are definately too many Patricias ("homeland" is the meaning). no, I don't like it. For some reason, I see a short, blonde girl
Patrice- now, that's different and I love it! sounds cool!
Annette- definately old, name of old queens. somehow, I see popular girl with this name, don't know why
Lindsey- Lohan. and not a nice name. a bit too long and not very original.
Rhonda- ok, that one sounds obsolete, I don't really like it. for some reason I connect it with the 80s and ugly clothes and haircuts
Theresa- traditional. but this is a nice name, I connect it only to saints though
Jennifer- an old but powerful name. plenty beautiful and strong women have this name
Bonnie- and Clyde. no, I can't say I like it, though it is traditional and there is that beautiful song
Nina- this one I like, although there are a lot of Ninas. I know 2 very pretty girls with this name
Caleb- a very beautiful name, also traditional. I can see a guy I would want to date
Donovon- a bit long, but sounds good. makes me think of old warriors and poets
Patrick- I connect it to Ireland straight away, and I am not too fond of it. a very old name though, with a lot of tradition. I can see a really smart guy
Anelle- a ne name, not too bad, sounds poetic, like a character in an old book
Alaina- now, that's a beautiful name, also modern. I can see a real pretty and smart girl with that name
Nicole- kidman. don't really like it, but I can see a cool girl with a nickname like "nick"
Jesslyn- too complicated, but definately new. and it makes me think of literature, sounds like a writer, for some reason
Anita- I know many Anitas and it makes me think of all of them. all great girls, but this is definately an old name. and not very original
