I am devastated by the news that say he comitted suicide today. I am deeply saddened. He is one of the funniest comics I have ever seen. Anybody else sad? I sure know I am.

I think Richard Jeni was absolutely hilarious. His material was side-splitting, and I find it very depressing that his life ended in this fashion.

The comedy world will surely suffer from his loss. He was a brilliant comedian and well-respected among his peers.

He was one of the best ever. His one liners were the best ever. Sad he must have let his world close in on him, I guess he didnt have a really close friend to help him out. Im wanting more news from this, but Im afraid we wont get much more unless he left a note.

He was to be in Chicago at the Improv for 4 nights but had cancelled, the manager said when he called that he had not been ok for some time.

We'll miss him, Mitch Hedberg too, heck, even Kinison. Why do the greats have to go so young?
