You asked advice and you didn't like what she told you? Sorry, but you asked for it. A real friend will tell you the truth, even if its painful.
You do not have to forgive her but you are foolish if you throw away a friend that was trying to help you and be honest. Friends are flawed, its not fair to expect perfection and judge them to harshly.
Your call but I think the hardest thing to do is to tell a friend something they don't want to hear because its for their own good. Stop being so sensitive and swallow your pride.

You do not have to forgive her, however it is still an option.
Whatever you do, I would suggest to you that you look for another girl. One that is sensitive enough and caring enough and not so self centered like her. Because it takes two for a relationship to work, be it may friendship or love. You need some one that will actually care and listens to you, not one that gives you a hard time when you need her. There are many girls out there that can show you this attention.
So, it is up to you to make the action.

lets get this straight, SHE, lemme just call her your friend, did so called bad things to you. what did she write in the letter to you?
but whatever it was. dont forgive her!!!! a real friend is someone who cares about you. who do GOOD things to you. a friend ISN'T someone who says hurtful things in a letter or in a speech or email or something...
this happened to me once. but you think i forgive that "friend"? nope. dont forgive her, cus friendship is over. but if you wanna give her a CHANCE? go ahead. cus she might change. but, warning, she might not and i tellya, i AM SURE, that she would not, so, dont forgive her, friendship is over, and find a friend who is caring, sharing and all the good points about a person. well, not exactly all, but yeah.
good luck.^)

You need to choose the kind of friends that make you feel good about yourself and feel happy, not the kind of people that hurt your feelings and bring you down. This life is too short to surround yourself with people that make you unhappy and take away your self-esteem. Some friendships just aren't made to last forever, move on and find happiness elsewhere with a friend that loves you.

what does the letter says? she could only be saying the truth that hurts you or it could be the other way around. we really cant be sure unless you tells some more details about it. but being her friend, you should know her enough to judge whether her action is right or wrong.

No. Time might change your mind though. What seems so bad now will seem less significant in the future. Good luck.

Well, it depends but from what I am seeing, you should cut the communication with each other for a long while or such.
