There's a big difference between mercenaries and contractors. Mercenaries fight for money; contractors do everything from fixing airplanes to serving food. There are thousands of them in Iraq and Afghanistan.

I was one of the contractors you are trying to denigrate. But I was contacted and asked to go over. Maybe my prior experience in the military made the difference.

War is an ugly business. That's why they need qualified people over there and not people whose only skill is the castigation of those that are qualified.
