He's not had much press so far and he's considered the dark horse yet he has been scoring well in the straw polls. He came in #1 ahead of McCain and Giuliani in AZ and #3 right behind McCain and Giuliani in FL. He's my favorite so far.

Just curious what everyone else has to say on Hunter, or if anyone even knows anything about him.

He will a strong candidate.

Little bit infromation about him,
Duncan Lee Hunter (born May 31, 1948), American politician, has been a Republican member of the House of Representatives since 1981 from California's 52nd congressional district in northern and eastern San Diego. It was previously numbered the 42nd District from 1981 to 1983 and then the 45th District from 1983 to 1993. Hunter was the chairman of the House Armed Services Committee during the 109th Congress. In the 2006 general election, he defeated Navy veteran/minister John Rinaldi, a Democrat, and Michael Benoit, a Libertarian. Hunter was re-elected with 65% of the vote, a 33-point margin over Rinaldi. He is currently seeking the Republican Party nomination for President of the United States.

Duncan Hunter is a San Diego congressman. He was former Chairman of the Armed Services Committee. Until the 2006 election, he was the only House member with a relative in the Iraq war. (His son)

Duncan Hunter is a very conservative guy. He never said a word in disagreement with White House policy. To me, there is no daylight between Duncan Hunter and George Bush. I am unaware of any instance where Rep. Hunter disagreed with the current Administration.

scotty - you *do* realize, don't you, that the Democrats have just as many corruption problems? At least Foley went away - your party re-elected a known pedophile (Gerry Studds - do a search if you don't believe me.)

No, I don't know a whole lot about Hunter. Thanks for the tip...I'll look him up.

Another crooked Republican that's gonna run for office--What could you possibly need to know?

Hiring his relatives PAC organizations, giving away No-bid contracts to Defense buddies in his district, ties to Brent Wilkes--The Poway defense rep that's under indictment as we speak for giving two 100,000 personal checks directly to "Duke" Cunningham.

You know there are many favorable Democrats running--Why not shed some skin and go mainstream?
