I'd rather be KG. Kevin Garnett is definitely the better player. He's got size, strength and speed and can do absolutely anything on the basketball court. He can score inside, post-up, shoot the jumper from up to 20 feet and even shoot threes when necessary. More importantly, he can rebound, block shots and play defense. Dirk is too one dimensional. He is just a big offensive machine who shoots threes and outside jumpers. For a guy who's 7 feet tall, he doesn't have an inside game to speak off. Most of all, he doesn't play defense at all. He's just too lucky to be with a talented team.

kevin garnett.
Here's why-
2nd (maybe 1st) best overall player in the L. (lebron) KG's got the whole package. Blocks, steals, good defense overall, inside-game, midrange-game, a not-that-great-but-decent, outside-game, power, dunkage, and he's played all 5 positions before. He's mainly a 3,4,5, but can play a 1, or 2 if u want him to. Dirk's got a way better shot, maybe the best right now, but if u throw him in the paint with KG, dirk doesn't have a chance. KG will stuff him, or force a bad shot every time. Dirk has the worst inside game for any 7-foot superstar that i have ever seen. The reason "Dirk's Mavs" are so much better that KG's T-wolves... look at the surrounding cast members and the coaching struggles of the T-wolves in the past 2 or 3 years.

Dirk Novitzki. He just might become MVP (Even do Nash is more deserving).
Dirk is making he's teamattest better and the Mavs got the best record in the L. And the T-Wolwes suck. A true star dosent think about stats, but rings! And Dirk is by the way a much better shooter and all around player.

I would go with Dirk no doubt. What really matters is who can win the big games and KG hasn't done crap. At least Dirk has taken his team to the championship and they almost won it. Dirk can shoot threes at 7 foot, and he can do about anything else. I would much rather have the ball in Dirk's hands for the last shot. Dirk ANYDAY!

thats a toss up for me. kg is a more complete player...both offensively and defensively...while dirk is a superior shooter.
if it came down to a last second shot, though kg is good...id rather have dirk taking it.
kg is as passionate about the game and winning as he's ever been...but he'll probably go down as the greatest player never to make it to a nba final if he stays in minnesota.
i think it just depends on ur team and the scheme that is run to showcase the star player. both players are studs and u cant really go wrong with either.

dirk nowitzki - he is a dominant seven footer who has now been able to step up his game inside (driving to the basket, etc.) but not ony is one of the best shooters in the game but a seven footer, dirk is one of the most unique players and extemely hard to guard because of the lack of players like himself in the league
- he also has improvd on the defensive side making him a great all around player
i think that dirk is one of the best players in the league right now on the best team in the nba and kg is while amazing he is on a poor team who i guess do not succeed under his leadership

Tough one. KG is awesome in many areas and he is consistent too. Dirk meanwhile can shoot 3s and rebound well. In terms of stat, I will normally pick KG but they are pretty equal and Dirk is younger by 2 years. So I pick Dirk simply becos he will be in the league longer!
