Is the Houston WiFi thing ready yet?

Sorry if it's a dumb question, I keep hearing it's ready and that it's coming in a year or something, so I don't know what to believe.

No it's not ready yet. Most of the articles I've read say that it probably won't be ready until 2009. Here's a link to the article on earthlink, the company that will be used for the network in Houston.
