I like the person who recommended that you see an Ob/Gyn specialist. Why not wait a week and a half after your last period and try having sex with your man every night until he's completely empty. Also I recommend that you allow him to build up his seminal fluid by refraining from sex for about two weeks before your period until that time as I recommended. As long as he doesn't try to relieve himself he should have plenty for you when you want to conceive.

My periods were totally irregular and I had various tests etc and was told I had PCOS (Poly Cystic Ovary Syndrome). I was told to lose weight (I wasn't huge, just a few lbs over) and go back to the doc if I hadn't concieved in 6 months.
So we had no clue when to 'try' for a baby either and just had fun whenever we felt like it. Which, at the time, was frequently! I got pregnant in no time flat - lucky me!
Then I had the problem of getting the docs to understand that just because I had my last period on x date did not mean that I had concieved on x date + 14 days as they expected!! I got an extra scan as a result because I was only 8 weeks when they thought I was 10 weeks...
I was off the pill for two cycles before we stopped using protection. I was told it was best not to concieve until I'd had two 'proper' periods after coming off the pill.

First we need to figure out why the periods are irregular,& what actually is going on inside & Make them regular,I suggest you to see a good ob/gyn as soon as possible to not to waste time if you are planning to conceive, you can also ask her for prenatal viamins. An ob/gyn can help you get pregnant soon.

first I would like to say Good luck in your journey of getting pregnant, My OB has me on a calendar which marks my temps ( I take my temp with a special thermometer for basal only) Everyday you mark when you have sex and your temp before you get up out of bed. Its so easy, and helps out alot when you are irregular.
This is my first month doing it, and my temp is starting to go up so I am hoping its the start of ovulation. My husband and I have been trying for 7 months, If I only did this sooner.. lol
May God bless you when the time is right. I looked it up for you and put down a website that should help you out...

My advice is to keep a record of when your period comes down and take it to your doctor so he can tell you when you will be ovulating to be able to conceive. Sometimes it's not the woman, it's the guy that has issues with trying to conceive. So try to talk to your doctor or try a free medical clinic to tell you more, they sell kits that show you when you should continue to try. Good luck!

Ovulation tests are your best bet since you're so irregular. Maybe try tracking your BBT and see if you see a pattern... or just have sex everyday! You won't miss that way! =)
Good luck!

You can get home ovulation tests.
But you should really see a obgyn about irregular periods, there could be an underlying problem that you could fix easily.

my OBGYN told me to get on the pill, then as soon as i come off of it, then try. we're not trying yet, but i have the same problem as you. talk to the doctor to make sure there is no medical reason for the irregularity.

ALWAYS have something on you. Talk to your doctor too. Just in case if there is something wrong. They might even give you birth control to help regulate it (maybe even make it shorter, always a good thing!)
