It is different, Muscat is a small city, it is nice, but limited entertainments, Dubai is like no other in the Arab world.

Muscat may not have many bars or clubs, but it has some of the best restaurants and hotels I have ever been to. Eating out and shopping are the main entertainments in Muscat. There's a wonderful Dive Centre where you can spend the day or even stay overnight at the beautiful huts on the beach. There are also lots of cinemas which generally show quite up to date movies. You can take a dhow cruise or go dolphin watching. There's an ice rink and a bowling alley. If you like classical music, the Al Bustan Palace puts on a concert every month in its beautiful concert hall (although it's being refurbished at the moment). And if you get out of Muscat there are great locations to visit for hiking or camping, like the wadis, the Empty Quarter, forts, Jebel Akhdar etc.
If you're looking for mad nights spent drinking in bars or clubs, forget about Muscat. It's a quieter lifestyle than Dubai, but I love it.

IT has entertainment but very limited..
Dubai is the best not just in the Arab World, Even in the World!

It is open but not as much as Dubai. In the Middle East both most modern cities are:
Dubai & Beirut.

lol .. Muscat .. 4get about Muscat .. its the most boring place i ever went to .. ZERO ENTERTAINMENT !
