I was watching the Birds movie by Alfred Hitchcock and was wondering why on earth the birds were attacking in the first place? Was it that woman or the love birds or something, or did they just want to attack randomly?

Hitchcock was inspired by a report in the August 18, 1961 issue of the Santa Cruz, California Sentinel newspaper of birds exhibiting strange and sometimes violent behavior. This behavior may have been caused by amnesic shellfish poisoning of the birds from eating fish containing domoic acid produced by the algae Pseudo-nitzschia australis.
It was a great movie. It was a typical Hitchcock movie.

It's a mystery that is never explained in the movie. It is sort of inferred that it has something to do with the woman but this is never stated or proven either.

You never know...that's what adds to the fear. If they did it there, could it happen here? Never mind that it was just a movie...how many people went home and changed their underwear after seeing the Exorcist?

There's no reason. Does it matter? Would we be on the birds' side if they had, like, a legitimate grievance? It's just freaky!
