Just apply to NYU and Duke. Dont even consider the other schools on the list.
NYU and Duke are very well known and good medical schools, so I think their psychology programs are very good as well. I think you should go to NYU because you probably will need a masters degree in psyc (cuz there isnt really much you can do with bachelors) and NYU offers masters and Ph.D (Duke doesnt) You probably will get more internship opportunities if you go to NYU because it is located in a big city and you have more opportunities to learn from the world (cuz there are a lot of people in New York City)
1. NYU
2. Duke
3. Clemson
4. Univ of South Carolina
5. Univ of Washington

I attended Clemson several years ago and found it to be a wonderful place. Not only is it a top notch education, it is in a small town that is all about the University.
I have been to Duke, S. Carolina and NYU. All are in the middle of cities. S. Carolina is quite spread out, Duke is in a bad section of Durham and NYU is in NYC.
If you are looking for the real college experience, Clemson is the place for you. In addition, the psychology department is quite good there.
Best of Luck.

I'll agree that Duke has the best national reputation, followed by NYU and then Clemson. One thing to consider is that if you are planning on psychology as a major, a city like New York might offer more internship opportunities. I went to Notre Dame (South Bend, IN) and it was hard to get internships because it was such a small town. Something to consider in the boring long-term career terms.

I know little about the department of Psychology in the listed colleges, however you might want to check out the annual rankings done by U. S. News and World Report (website below) to see how these schools rank in comparison with each other.
Before you decide to ignore all the state colleges and universities in Texas, check out the costs of private and out-of-state schools. Not only is tuition much more, but you also have to plan on increased travel costs. Your clothing from Texas might not be appropriate for places like New York due to its colder weather. Even with scholarships and grants, unless your parents can contribute significantly to your college expenses, you might get out of school owing a boat load of money in student loans.

How bout u answer it with the reality? Why r u involved interior the faculty. Even stuff that doens't sound good, like u heard it had the best events, could be became into ' the social ecosystem is super'.
