I can understand being a conservative, as you have an amazing ability to use the computer at age 3.
I am a conservative and am in category 2.
The reason I am conservative is that Liberals believe in defeat and the govt. providing for their every need until they die. Moderates are clueless people who don't really have any opinion, as it would compromise their position as "thoughtful".
Conservatives are for individual ambition, reduced government influences on our lives, and capitalism.

Liberal and 2.
The government has a powerful ability to improve our lives.
The government can make rules so that business has to treat us equally, and provide some guarantees. Government can also fund research that is too expensive for private enterprise, or doesn't have a direct, measureable Return on Investment (ROI)
Two examples: As you all know, the Internet was a DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Planning Agency) project. Moreover, we can now change carriers and keep the same number. This was down over the protests of the phone companies, and makes our lives better.

I am ultra conservative. I believe the government should stay out of my life and do the job the Constitution set it to do.
There are only 21 things reserved for the federal government by the Constitution All the rest are reserved for the states.
I don't want or need anyone, especially these idiots that think they know best, telling me what to eat, smoke, drink or anything else.
The feds main function is to defend and protect against foreign enemies, they need to do this, including our southern borders and stay out of my life!
I am male, 55 a Viet Nam Vet and love my country

I'm a Conservative Independent. Neither party can speak for me on every issue. I have voted in every election since I was 18 (missed one mid-term, that's it). I maybe give away my age to say that's 9 national elections, and 19 local elections. The first President I voted for was Bush 41, his first term.
I'm #2) 30-45
I'm not religious. You should ask for that, it matters to Conservatives as much as anything, though not to all of us. Me, for example. But I'm a rare bird.

average Liberal: i do no longer think in non secular extremism - yet I do have self assurance in God, I do in basic terms no longer think of Public college is the placement for my babies to acquire non secular education. I help Public college (and picture domicile education is in basic terms the hot variety of religious segregation in united states of america), the ecosystem, the ACLU (even while i do no longer consider them) I help our squaddies, yet no longer the wars they locate themselves forced to combat. i want national wellbeing Care i want a real means coverage I help gay rights, yet do no longer consider that existence sort and actual do no longer savor that each and each television coach in the land has to have a gay character. i do no longer think in torture below any situation. i've got self assurance we would desire to continually stay ethical lives, yet i do no longer want the government censoring what I study or see -- Playmates might desire to make a residing too. Abortion is a toss up for me (right away makes me a liberal if I could think of roughly it). Sorry i did no longer set aside opinion on ethical subject concerns, yet particularly dude that has lots to do with whether a individual identifies themself as a liberal or a conservative. regrettably, we've so stereotyped one yet another that liberals are perceived as God-much less and conservatives as non secular nut luggage. back, the fact is someplace in the middle.

What's best for almost everyone. That leaves out the rich. They make their own 'best' of everything except for 'almost everyone'(did I hear an echo?). There are exceptions but even they have so honkin' much that even they are embarrassed into givin' it away(tax deductible). That makes me a liberal in the good ol' US of A and a (L)iberal here in the state of Canada(at least right now due to our
(C)onservative Prime Minister!!). 43's got 'Steve' in the palm of his hand. I hope WE can save ourselves from it. You gotta wait 'till '08 - oy!! That rhymes. Well now. Oh ya - I'm a 3+17 1/2.
