No. Most freelance photographers don't need much more than a camera, and the experience to know how to shoot good picutres of celebrities. The better of them may have some training in school , but not necessarily a degree in photography or photo journalism (!)

Yea they have Masters programs in paparazzi technology at most major universities and ivy league schools. Classes include "Principals of being an idiot" and "I am a complete moron 101"
