There are Dry cleaning products you can buy to use at home, spray it on and put the hat in a cotton bag into the clothes dryer per instructions. A home remedy is removing stains from clothing and fabrics with table salt and cream of tarter, equal parts.

Go to your local Wal-mart or other general store and buy some Iron Out, you'll find it in the cleaning supplies on the bottom shelf if your shopping at a Wal-mart. It works great as a laundry brightner for whites but DON'T use it on anything other then whites!

It depends on what type of hat, but I've always used white vinegar, and a toothbrush.
