Yeah i know the show is edgy but why does eveyone hate that show so much? What do you think about it?

I like it. Sometimes it grosses me out, though. The reason that I like it is that they seem to take an unpopular stance on current events and legitimize them. They'll show a viewpoint that you may have not considered.

Because people are scared that their groups or beliefs will be analyzed and discussed by Matt and Trey on the show, and that they will be made to feel stupid with the truth. Matt and Trey are brilliant, very observant and always do their research. The people who hate them don't like them pointing out that something they believe in is logically ignorant and sometimes borderline insane. They wind up hating it because they realize deep inside that South Park is right. Or they just are too stupid to understand what is being said.

Not everyone hates it, I happen to think it can be hilarious. But often it gets to the point where it's obvious that it can just be aiming for ratings.
Take the most recent episode, where they said the n-word an obscene number of times. Some may take that as being edgy, but as half african american, I obviously saw it differently and have been completely turned off to it and its "edginess"

I personally love the show, but South Park takes most topics light-heartily which many people take very seriously. It could also be it's unnecessary use of language

I love the show. No celebrity is safe, even Oprah. Stone and Parker have no fear, and refuse to not cross the line, while maintaining good creativity. And yet there seems to be a true to life moral message in each episode. Its genius.

I love South Park. I think the main reason why some people hate it is because they don't like crude humor and cursing because they are so damn uptight.

Although the show has/is having a good run - quite frankly they can only do so much with killing Kenny, with poo jokes, fart and smell jokes, gay jokes, all the violence before they are just repeating themselves, but changing the script readings.

i dont hate it. in fact, most of the time i really like it...it can be annoying at times, but when they put out an episode like Tom Cruise being trapt in the closet, it totally makes it worth watching
