Libbey was found GUILTY - he obstructed justice by lying to investigators to save Cheney from very serious charges. Why are republicans so scared to talk about this?

Because they only excuse liars (Libby, Cheney (c'mon you know he is in on it)), aldulterers (Gingrich), child molesters (Foley), etc. if they are one of their own.

It's called hypocrisy, and they are rife with it.

I am conservative (registered independent though) so what happens to Republicans does somewhat affect me since they generally get the things done I want done.

I am more scared of the fact that Libby is being tried for "outting a CIA agent" when it was confirmed before reported and that the reporting of the name has never been questioned. Why was the name needed in a newspaper article? IT NEVER WAS!!!!

I am also more scared that a liberal high ranking CIA agent outted the secret prisons in other countries that are perfectly legal and she has never been brought to trial. Her sole motivation was because she didn't agree with the policy. She is hiding behind whistle blower laws and she broke the law by going to the media about a perfectly legal and top secret project.

It is pretty speculative to even say that Libby is trying to save Cheney (and I hate the guy).

Watch Fox and listen to conservative talk radio. They are talking about it nonstop. What a travesty of Justice. Read up on the total bias of the left on this case and see the truth. Blinders are for horses. Get that fathead Clinton for lying to the FBI first genius.

because it's a lot harder to blame this criminal conduct on politics or the "left wing" media. Libby and his cohorts not only lied under oath, they commited treason in the outing of Plame. And this time, it is a non partisan prosecutor and an objective jury that unanimously agreed on the disgusting truth of Libby and, by extension, this pathetic administration.

The Repugnicans are scared because it is one more scandal that will topple their conservative dogma as being gospel. When Repugnicans, who are known to be self-rightious, lie (Libby), take bribes (Duke Cunnigham), sexually harrass workers (Foley) and promote prostitution and the drug trade (Haggard), it destroys the credibility of the entire party; thus, many people will become ashamed to be known as Repugnicans, and become Democrats or Independants.

The Libby trial had exposed the irregularities of the Republicans and it is the reason that they are so scared if the truth will be told.

There a perfect reason for this. he knows too much and if he flips he could actually bring down the "worst President ever".
