Cleats depend on two things: you and the turf you play on.

First you need a shoe that fits your foot and feels good to play in: I prefer a molded plastic sole. What money that wasn't put into the bottoms is usually put into the top.

Second you would want to be able to adapt to turf quality..
thick soft grass requires a longer cleat than short, dry turf.

best thing to do is ask your coach for recommendations; then try more than one shoe.

Good luck

The best cleat for an offensive/defensive lineman is a deep, round spike on the bottom and when you tie it, it fits snug around the ankle so it will act as an ankle brace. The deep round spikes are for ground penetration in order to push your opponent around on defensive and stay your ground on offensive. Deeper (longer) the spike the better. Doesn't matter brand, it just matters comfortability and snugness against the foot.

The above answer is correct.
Also, try to get a high top style or one that gives the most ankle support. Lineman are down in the trenches and need to keep their feet planted without turning an ankle. Check out the other answer I gave to the web page.
