I am also surprised to find that there aren't many questions about tap. I'm a tap teacher and I consider myself an intense tapper too! Right now we are working in my advanced teen class on double wing turns (basic double wing, but turning in quarters and half turns clockwise and counterclockwise) and single-footed pullbacks. I would consider, for me, single footed pullback, done repeatedly to be one of the hardest, because of balance and making all of the sounds consistently.

There are some tap questions asked every so often on here. There have been some questions about time steps and wings and over the tops and some other steps. I teach tap (and ballet and jazz and gymnastics) I have to say that I love to tap!!
I'm not sure what I would consider the hardest......it usually is a combination of steps that slows me down sometimes. Like wings aren't that hard anymore but if you have a turn or a barrel roll right into a double wing, toe stand....something like that, you get the pic, it may take me a few times slowly to get it. Stuff like that is what I would say is hardest. BUT that is exactly what I LOVE about dancing!!! I love having that challenge of choreography and working on it over and over until my muscles have it memorized and it just happens with the music and I don't have to think about it!

for me over the tops are hard because i look like an idiot when i do them. but the hardest step for me so far is either an irish pick up toe or a bell. i am in "advanced" tap classes. almost in the highest level at my studio!!!! yea me!

i've been doing dance in genral since i was 3 and i'm 15 now! but i would defintily say that the double wing is one of the hardest things i've learned and i usually get all the time steps mixed up! right now i'm learning the triple traveling timestep! oh and toestands in heels , not super hard, i just don't like them!

ive been tapping for like 10 yrs and i think that reverse wings are hard to first learn them but if you dont have really good regular wings you there is no chance you can do reverse
what you do is you have your feet in 4th podition parallel. than you do the out and in thingie as in and out. it is hard like the first time that you try it but than it is like riding a bike (for those of you that know how to)
BTW what is a double thingie wing???

wings wings wings. Also, single pull backs. My dance teacher used to make us do a combination where you did a right foot single pull back, then a toe, then pull back again, single toe, pull back, double toe, pull back, double toe, pull back, single toe, pull back, triple toe, pull back, triple toe, pull back, triple toe, then repeat on the other side on the way back (so the rhythm was 1, 1, 2, 2, 1, 3, 3, etc).
