Many women out there have many pairs in their collection-how many pairs should a MAN realistically have? I'd say at least six -dress shoes(for a wedding or a funeral),two pairs of casual shoes(taking a girl out to lunch),sneakers(working out, sports),winter boots, house shoes.

I think it is fine for men to have a wide variety of shoes.
I HATE it when a guy thinks it is "cool" to only have/wear sneakers--it isn't cool, it is just sloppy.
Minimum; dress shoes in brown and black for winter and warm seasons
boots for working in the yard, may not apply to city folk
flip-flops and/or sandals
work-out sneakers and casual styles
loafer or weekend shoes in dark and light tones
nice boots in brown and black
slippers for home
and as Many other pairs you would like, there is such a nice selection today, I have as much fun shopping for my husband's shoes as I do my own--well, maybe not AS much

Well, I have about 85 pairs of shoes. . . my hunny on the other hand has about 6 his work boots, his lifting shoes, tennies, a black dress, and hiker, and an average everyday shoe. I think that's plenty for a guy. Girls they are more of an accessories than a necessity.

at least.... my bf has about a dozen not including a few prs of flip flops. I have a LOT of shoes so if you ask me you can't have too many!

Just so you know, women love shoes because no matter if they're bloated or having a "feel gross" day, shoes always fit!
