how does a laser level send a beam around a 90 degree angle and what length will it send?

If you look at the bottom of the screen during the commercial, you'll notice there's some small text stating that you need to use a mirror to make the laser go around corners. So really, you're just making it appear to do that.

It doesn't go around corners. Period.
