It helps to try to get yourself pumped, to sych yourself up so much by pumping your fists and by setting mental goals for yourself like "im not going to lose another point or miss another shot" it helps to keep yourself in the game.

Just keep repeating the score of the game in your head between points do not let anything else slip into your mind. Develop rituals, toweling off after every point, bouncing the ball the same number of times before each serve. Look only at your strings on switches or keep your head buried in a towel. If your opponent starts talking trash just ignore it. Always walk the same speed to gather the balls you need and keep your raquet head up . There are a few books by Jim Loher that are just awesome on dealing with just what you asked,

1ST: keep mental notes, or just write them down, to read them when you play.
2ND: Always stay calm doesn't matter what your opponent is doing, you are the one that needs to win from your qualities as a player, not from the frustration or madness of your opponent.
3RD: Do some relaxing stuff before the match, to keep your brains cool and relaxed before you enter the match, otherwise you tend to lose your focus and freshness even quicker.
4TH: Get someone of your friends to do some mental coaching, someone who believes in you, you'll gain a lot more confidence in bad situations from it.
5TH: Be yourself and believe in yourself
I do all the above, and my last season performance in belgian national tournaments was 65-7

Are you eating propperly? The right food and lots lots lots of water make a huge difference. Also sleep is very important. Your energy level is very important. Even if you don't reallt feel physically tired you still maight be getting much less out of yourself because your brain is not nourished enough.

Practice before hand. Do some sort of exercise before hand. It will get your blood pumping and then you will be ready. Try running in place, jumping jacks, and/or stretching.
