Depends where you are ,aussie $ .forget gimmikky stuff like twin necks .for a good cheaper acoustic axe go for any norman (canadian) (ex fender guy) before 1994 ,$1200 or so ,theyre all korean made nowdays
if you go for a old maton messiah 1980 or earlier ,$2500 if you can find one ???
you want good electric .buy an older maton, gibson, fender 1965 or there abouts .
I have a maton GE 500 1965 semi . very sweet sound .$1500 in 1982 .

In that case, you can go for something really classy, like Gibson Black Beauty with 3 pickups. At musiciansfriend.com or sweetwater.com you will get it for under $4K which will leave you with some 1100 that you can spend on the Carvin Legacy amp - designed with Steve Vai, you can't get much better than that.

Are you serious? They just came out with the jimmy page re-issue double neck . that's signed by jimmy page and comes with a signed authenticity. Its just under a grand. and it will only go up in value. Its a gibson not an epiphone.
