I'd forget going home, make it a night out, build a fire, sleep til morning and when the sun starts coming up, walk towards the sunrise. Either that or I'd just camp out til someone missed me and came looking. either way I would enjoy being"lost" in the woods

I would simply pull out a book and begin to use the bathroom and as if on cue, my kids would come running up telling me one of them hit the other one or that they want some chocolate milk or that they want me to turn cartoons on or they can't find a particular movie that they want to watch or, well I could go on but I think you get the picture..

Check what time it is, look in the sky and see where the sun is, then start walking either north, south, east or west depending on which way i started going.

I would try to find a stream or river and follow it. The thought is that it eventually leads to people.
