Yeah, the baby can feel you pushing on him or her, but don't worry, it is perfectly safe. After all, the doctor does it sometimes, so it must be okay for you to give it a try too. As long as you arent giving the kid any major kung foo jabs, a few nudges shouldn't be a problem. P.S.- I'm 26 weeks too, cool!

Yes the baby can feel you. But unless its a really really(i mean really) hard hit, its unlikely the baby will be hurt. I'm 38 weeks and when i want him to show off for family i push a little on where his feet and knees are and he will kick back. its great fun when you are bored!

She is only being rocked slightly and probably likes it. Imagine pushing on a waterbed, as far down as you can....it makes waves. Your baby will respond (if she is awake) by moving or kicking. Then you can play (my favorite pregnancy game!) "Guess that bump"...so much fun!

Yes, but don't worry it doesn't hurt her. I find it kinda fun to feel around and find my baby's parts. At this point, his little butt is always sticking out, so I lightly push on it just to feel him move.
