Well, that's a little long to still be hurting when you poo... But there are things you can do to help. Eat more fruits and veggies, and drink lots of water. Also, try a stool softener like Colace (sp?), or the generic wal-mart version, way cheaper. If it starts getting better, then you have nothing to worry about. If it stays the same, you need to see the doctor. Good luck, and take care!

Hi. It sounds like it might be hemorroids, I have three kids ( 8, 5 + 1) and I got it bad after all my pregnancies and sometimes it still comes back. My GP gave me some ointment to rub in and you can get pessaries that help too. I know its embarrasing but dont leave it any longer before going to the doctor because its not worth putting up with the pain when you can fix it. Hope you get some relief soon :)

You mean it is difficult to pass stool? You probably have hemorrhoids or a rectal tear. Try stool softeners and a high fiber diet. You can buy something called Colace over the counter. It helps.
After my first child, pooping was never the same. Just part of being a woman.
If it gets really bad, see a proctologist.

Go to the doctor. If you are hurting when you urinate it could be a bladder infection and if it hurts when you defacate it could be hemorrhoids or rectal fissures or something like that. It is better to find out than not want to go to the bathroom due to the pain.

I had my son 13 months ago and it still hurts sometimes. I had a second degree tear that took forever to heal and that didn't help any. Stool sofeners do help to a certain extent. If you are breastfeeding, though, make sure that what you are taking doesn't pass into your milk. Ask the pharmacist if you are not sure.

Hemorroids are very normal during pregnancy. If it continues I think I would contact your doctor and see what they say.
